Travel to and days in Copenhagen Denmark

From Bir to Delhi to Moscow to Copenhagen: Nope, this time we didnt take our car to Delhi.Yeah mainly because we aint travelling with our bike boxes :) but sure it feels a lil wierd to go without any loco i.e. bikes or paragliders :)
Anyway, not like this trip aint gonna be challenging without em.Infact, this one i feel is the most challenging than our previous ones.."Hitchhikin the unknown"
Also, our own personal commute is now replaced by our very own mobile bedroom and kitchen :)
So the bus ride from Bir to Delhi isnt worth talking about, except the full moon under which the magnificent Dauladhar range reminded us very strongly the reason why our current base is beautiful Bir :)
Anyway, the rest day in Delhi was definately worth it.Big thanx to Meenu's mom for feeding us such fab food :)..All of this rest and mom cooked food will be surely missed in the comin months..
Along with eating and resting well, last and final bits of our packing list was taken care off and our packs weighed to ensure we wern't paying anything xtra to the airliners...
Ours is an economical carrier(aero float) connecting Delhi Copenhgen via Moscow. But guess what, we were upgraded to business class for the long part of this journey i.e. Delhi to Moscow..Upon reaching Moscow the xfers went without any delays or drama, however there was a long and interesting walk in between these two airline gates :)
the second flight i.e. from Moscow to Copenhagen, we got the worst possible seats, last in the craft, couldnt even recline an inch.
Anyway, upon landing at Copenhagen, for a change this airport did not look or feel like all modern airports these days, they all look the same. This one feels a lil dated and hence interesting. Our local Danish friend was there to pick and drove us straight to his apartment.
His folks were there to meet us, their reception was very warm and not only did they open their doors to us,but also loaded the kitchen with food for a almost a week and more :)
This was followed by a pre arranged scandinavian sim card for our use by Hans our Danish friend and his wife Anji (my dear old friend from Nepal).
So with an appartment right in the center of the city, a stocked kitchen and an higspeed internet connection we were set for our day/daily  explorations into the city, just the way we like it... living like the locals...
Thnx to a few pdf guide books, maps.me and google maps, next few days  were spent covering most of the city's free tourist attractions(so boring :))..then moving on to the more interesting stuff i.e. shopping for food, fuel, cash and planning the onward journey :)
Finding the right kind of fuel for our MSR liquid multi fuel burner stove was lil challanging, we can easily go for petrol, diesel and kerosine but we wanted to stick to whitegas(rense benzin in Danish) for clean flame=low maintainence :), i mean if we cannot source this in europe than shame on us...so finding this was a trip to many outdoor stores, which in the end pointed us to Silvan(huge hardware shop)..
For money,Danish ATM was our choice, while therz a fee to this, but it seems like the best compromise..
Then in a few days came up an invite from Anjiz inlawys to their home, which is 45min away from the city in the country side :)Hans has also offered to drop us to Sweden, which is right across the bridge from here(copenhagen)from there on we plan to start our hitchhike journey toward a city called Gothenberg in Sweden..we will see how that goes :)

And so as per plan Hans and Vitus (Hans n Anji’s son)came n picked us up from Copenhagen to take us to their countryside home, this was a nice 45min drive towards the north west direction, towards the Fjords the sea..

Here again Ole n Inge Marie(Hans' parents)and Anji gave us a pretty warm welcome :). We were hosted here for two nights and what followed was an unbeleiavable experience of  Danish hospitality. While our stay in Copengagen  was an excellent experience of the Danish capital action, our stay here a completely new and amazing experience of a Danish family bonding ,their culture and a peek into the daily day to day lives of a local family.

This trip also included some great sight seeing, thanx to Hans.n.Anji.We visited the beach, a local ice cream shop, a wind mill museum and went Sailing into the Fjords on Ole's 50yr old fishing boat :)

Since both Anji and Inge Marie have keen interest in cooking. Food and drinks were a big affair :), with home made breads, marmalades, grilled meat, some frozen beer sause with eel, lots of variety of cheese ...and since Ole is a wine collector and also makes his own wine, we got to drink and tase lots of different wine, some local, some homemade, some from as far as the end of the world(Argentina t :).the final day evening dinner was some Indian food also put on the table my Meenu which everyone enjoyed too :)n Ofcourse there was plenty of laughter, great stories and never ending conversations that happened in the middle of all of this action...All in all these were by far the the best two day we've had in the last one week of travel and for sure these times will allways be remembered and missed :)

Our farewell gift was a railway/metro pass from Ole to travel back to Copenhagen  and a ride to the train station, also a bottle of yummy homemade marmalade from Inge Marie..Angie accompanied us back to the city :)

So tomorrow we bid farewell to Denmark to enter a new country :)Next is a bus ride from Copenhagen to Gouthenburg Sweden, with a few hours stopover in the city of Malmo...This bus ride happened as a result of super duper discount fare Meenu got online.... :)
