go slow oslo norway

!Yeah, the next day at Halden was pretty action packed at the town center..there was the tons of rock concert happening at the fotress, so we went there to take a peek, got a good view of the town from there..then there was the boat and food festival happening at the harbour, so enjoyed some live musik there.there was some truckers bash happening round the corner and a plenty more other gigs ....
Anyway, we also managed to get a free warm shower at the grand hotel after requesting the manager :),this was long pending...
Another pretty interesting thing happend this morning, at our camp came in a big guy and asked us to vacate the campin spot to go find a place somewhere else, not that he was rude or hostile in doin so,but just looked a lil determined :)
he gave us another local add a few kilometers away to pitch our tent and said that place would be appropriate since this/current space was  private belonging to a trust, which ran the nearby museum and the five stone grave right next to us ..:)
By the end of our long n friendly conversation, he just asked me to walk a few steps with him (may be 20feet or so) and said it was ok to camp here :), this apparantly was the border where his museum jurisdiction ended and this place wasnt private...it belonged to to the muncipality...the big guy was really felling bad about doin this to us :) ...so much so that after a few hours after we had moved,he came back to our camp and said we could use the museum toilet whenever we felt like, it was open for us :) ...lol..
After all of these days of wild campin and cooking ourselves, our last night at Halden we treated ourselves with a McMeal, yes this is a treat in Scandinavia(so xpensive).
By now we are pretty accoustomed with sleepig in the tent,so semi slepless nights are a thing of the past..we woke up fresh the next day as today was a long long hitch planned all the way to Voss for the extreme sport event..After makin our breakfast, we headed straight to the hitch place we had selected the earlier evening..this was a roundabout with trafik goin towards e6(highway to north:oslo)and a few other places, basically the road to a big motorway/express way..so we carried two signs one read e6,the other one oslo...The next one hour was the same routine of thumbs up,smiles and shit loads of disappointment :)
we then saw a car pass us with the driver indicating slowing down, however,he didnt stop...he slowed down and took the next right turn ahead...a few minutes later we thought he came back and honked at us..this time he was goin in the opp direction lookin for a place to pull over...i thought he was trying to say something,so i ran after him..
he wanted to drop us to e6 from where it would be easier for us to reach oslo...this kind dude was a somali and made so much effort just to help us...unbelievable !! he also had a lot of other stuff in his car at the rear which he had to move into his trunk to accomodate us...:) such a kind soul...next travel should be to somaliya i guess :)
so he dropped us right at the motorway, and we realised that we had forgotton our cardboard signs in his car,so meenu got a few new ones from the oposite gas station and there we again at it...the thumbs up routine...10min into our ritual, Meenu was walkin towards the gas station to try her luck there and she saw a mini truck driver asking her to go back where i was...this guy was Turkish Norwegian citizen, and as hospitable az a turkish can be , he put us in his van, gave us something to drink and off we were towards Oslo.. since, we have visited turkey in ths past, the connection was instant :) .ON the way he had to drop fish at some village harbour next to a big star spa,so we helped him  LIL bit with that...
at oslo he dropped us where it was ideal for us not to enter the city, but to zip out thru towards Bergen n Voss(our destination)..this was a gas station again ..we first prepared a few sandwiches to eat and then went on about our job, with every passing hour, car and person we realized it was impossible to get out of that place to Voss to reach for the event on time..like the hitch experts always say that you can/should never try to hitch under a timeline pressure..and that is what exactly we were doin... :(..
So then Meenu n me did exactly what we are so good at doin :), we changed our complete plan...lol..
suddenly Voss was out and Oslo was in...since we were at Oslo already,it made sence to check this city out fully, instead of chasing some place else ...we decided we slow down our trip and go with the flow, without a plan or fixed destination..take a ride where the driver takes us ,but keep the direction in check...i.e. head towards to reach stockholm in a months time to takE a ferry to finland..our final destination to fly back to INDIA..
Soon after this moment of Nirvana we treated ourselves yet again with some chai, coffee and muffins..lol..
we then spoke to a few locals, downloaded the local bus app amd took a ride to ekeberg camp, its a campsite on the far cornor of the city..we figured that wild kampin here was a lil too challenging especially for chilling a few days, an overnight in the woods is still possible..but since suddenly now we have nowhere much to go, we took this paid campin place with some facilities like kitchen and toilets free...shower n washing card will ne taken later if required and for charging we have our solar panel :)..
SO for now ,here we are with a plan to explore Oslo the next few day...
The immediate next day at the camp was charging the electroniks, cooking hot meals ,blog and loads of chilling :)
p.s  free campin rule in scandinavia is quite loose, while the law allows you to camp everywhere, people mostly say this is possible in the countryside and not in cities.also the people in town/country side dont really appreciate free campin..its like you gotta put a dollar in between everything...lol.. ;)
