Thru Sweden to Norway..

So the bus from Copenhagen Denmark to Gothernbug was on time :)only with a short stop at the border to check passports..
This journey was however broken into a stopover at Malmo for 5 hours...Malmo is one of the bigger(third biggest) cities in Sweden and lil interesting with a high immigrant population and with a few hours to kill, was a good idea to explore..
So the first thing at the break was to find a place to stash our heavy backpacks somewhere so that we could walk easy...the first option we found was the grand central malmo rail station, upon enquiry the price stated to do that was close to our half a day's budget :),so ofcourse we ran away from there...then i thought we could google an indian resturant and try our luck there..so then the second option came up to be a resturant called green chillies :), close to 2km walk there the waiter (from syria) said the place was closed ,however, once he found out our intent,he took our request to the head chef,we said we could talk direct to the chef since he was an indian...he said no,hez a bangladesi :), as soon as he said that our heads dropped, and later we were not surprised that our request was declined...
so with a heavy heart we looked for another indian resturant, this time it was bollywood hotel or something, but again to our bad luck, this was shut ..
Meenu then spotted a punk swed girl at a fitness store and thouht we could try our luck there..she entered the store and put out her request and before the girl could make a decision,i pitched in and pushed her a lil bit from my end :) she couldnt refuse ;)
And then it was the usual; finding an atm, a grocery store, a vegetable market etc (our fav pass time)
Sweden is a lil cheaper than Denmark and with a high middle eastern population here in Malmo, you have a wide variety of cooking ingredients...anyway,we only picked a few veggies for our dinner ,for later..
later we found a park for making us sandwiches and headed to pick our packs to go to the bus station..at the store some guys said we could camp anywhere in sweden, even in city parks...this made us real happy as we wont have to go outskirts to find some woods once we reach Gothenburg...
So we got our bus to Gothernburg which is the second largest city in Sweden..Our bus driver was quite friendly and was happy to see us Indians, however, according to him city park camping was not allowed and that we had to get to outskirts, but he could only drop us to the bus stand in the city, as stopping on the highway was not allowed...
This news was a lil disappointing and we were not willing to head outskirts spending so much money on transport..SO we spoke to a few bmx fellow riders on our bus and figured that we could try and hide in the woods in any park.So with the help of a local girl,we marked the biggest park in the city and headed straight there..
AFter a long walk we reached there and then scouted for water first thing..Upon filling our water bladders for the night, we entered a woody area to look to stealth camp..It took us another 20min walk or so and we found a nice secluded spot..
As usual, the first night set up took a lil longer than usual, but all went smooth..we made chai followed by pasta for dinner :) ...
next day morning broke camp, came out of the woods and found a nice spot with a bench n table in the park to have our breakfast...plan was to walk the city for some grocery shopping and a broken backpack buckle, however, we first had to figure out where to leave the packs...we didnt want to leave them too far from the park as we planned to camp the same spot again...
Not too far from the park,we found a trek bicycle store,i got in and asked this favour and it was not only granted without any hesitation but also the guy at trek was super helpful with a whole lotta info about the city..
then on was a nice walk to the city center, visiting a few amazing canals, churches and general city swed neighbourhoods..later in afternoon we found a park to make lunch and an afternoom siesta :)..on the way back we picked up our bags from trek and came into the park...we decided aganist getting into the woods, thought we will do our cooking(cooked some nice tomato chuttney and midle eastern roti),cleaning and rest of the stuff then head to the woods and camp...so we did that :)..
nxt day morning to get out of the city we had to walk a 3km,change two buses to reach a spot from where we could hitch a ride to cross the border to reach Oslo (norway)..these city bus rides were a breeze, since they only accept local bus cards,we were dropped free by both bus drivers..
upon reaching the exact spot (as per hitch wiki)for our hitch to Olso,we got out cardboard and markers out to make our sign..stood on the highway for close to an hour battling our own person pride, some rain, some ignorance ,some kind n some negatives from the passing traffik :) until a kind dutch norwegian dude stopped..
he was going half way to a town called Halden just across the border into Norway..so this hour, hour n half ride with him was a lots of chatter about his life and ours :).ALso on the way we decided to park our selves at Halden instead of going all the way to Oslo, as it turned out that Halden is this pic perfect cost town...he dropped us on a beautiful hillock, in the woods with huge trees all around us an ancient family burial site :),overlooking the town dwn below us,and the  beautiful fjord to our right ,bang opp to us was the beautiful Halden fotress where therz a 3day rock festival happening there.. :)
post setting up camp, i met a brit lady callef Diana who was there to walk her dog Murmuler,i wanted to know if there was a tap around fr some water as we were just a bit tired to go dwn to the town for it..Diana offered to go drive back to the town to drop the dog ,fill in our water bladders and come back with them to deliver to us :) :)..So i had some nice long chat with her and told her our plan that we were headed to Voss for the exterme sport event, however, it seemed a lil tough to get there on time with our hitchhikin plan :)
Anyway, she was gone leaving meenu n meenu shocked with the kindness of people during our travels...we had our coffee n chai and set up our dinner prep waiting for water to arrive..Upon returing ,Diana got our water bladders full plus got an additional water bottle for us :)..the nxt thing she did was really shocking ,she gave us some money for our travels..Post a long chat with her around this and explaining to her that we didnt need her money at all and that we were camping n hitching for the experience hahah :), she still insisted we keep the money and that she just wanted to show some kindness towards us and help us with our travel just a lil bit ..Meenu later agreed to keep the money, letting her know that we would pass it on someone real needy in India..make a donation from her side :)...this was agreeable to both parties and then it was time for a pic :)
later in the night post dinner, we went down to the town for a walk, some grocery shopping and tried to figure a place for shower for the nxt day...here we met a bunch of ladies(just a lil drunk n happy)to enquire abt the shower, they gave us a few options in the town and one of them offered us to come home with them right them for a shower ;) lol..
anyway, as of now our destination voss for the extremsport event looks far fetched with our hitch plan..lets c if we can make it..

wow...what a day...looking fwd to the next ...

p.s :meenu spotted a reindeer while  we were hitching with the dutch dude n later that night there was a deer at our campsite..
